5 Things You Need Now to Help Your Golf Game

So I love all of these items and have them in my bag or at home.  Call me the gadget queen, but I love things that help simplify my life, or in this case, my golf game.

STICKIT Magnetic Rangefinder Strap

This first item is a no-brainer.  Since I take carts a lot now, this has made finding and using my rangefinder super easy — this wrap keeps your rangefinder close at hand because it is magnetized and attaches to the pole that holds up your windshield and the cart roof. It has a tapered strap giving you easy access to the activation button. This wrap comes in a variety of colors and makes a great gift for everyone. You can find this on Amazon, and it comes in black, blue, green and red – priced between $16.79-$24.10 depending on your color choice.

SKLZ Golf Tempo Trainer for Right-Handed Golfers

This is a great training aid.  The grip provides the correct hand position for the perfect golf grip and it’s weighted so you can practice your swing and tempo.  With regular use your swing speed will increase– whoosh! This is great for indoor and outdoor training sessions.  Short enough so you won’t smash anything while you’re practicing.

IGOTCHA Golf Ball Retriever

I love this!  My good friend bought me one because I kept using hers…  It used to be that carrying a ball retriever was like having an additional club in your bag (I’m sure this dates me) but they were large and bulky.  Frankly, you didn’t want to be seen with one in your bag because it was an admission that you LOST A LOT OF BALLS.  IGotcha has now come out with a retriever — one that is compact, fits nicely in its carry case and slips easily into the side bag compartment of your golf bag (where no one will know you have it if that remains a concern).

Bionic Glove Ladies Stablegrip with Natural Fit Golf Glove

These are now the only gloves I  wear.  First of all, they provide me with some cushion which is especially nice on my joints.  Designed by a hand surgeon they explain a Bionic Glove affects “orthopedic motions zones over the knuckles to provide more comfort” … yes they do!  Flexion zones make it easier to close the hand and enhance breathability, they say. I agree. There are even new and improved models to further reduce fatigue in your hands.  Bionic Gloves are not cheap, but they last at least 2-3 times as long as any other leather glove.  I highly recommend you give one a try.

Leupold Gx-4I3 Golf Rangefinder

Last but not least, having a great rangefinder is key.  While most of us play in carts that have GPS, or have a golf watch, if you find yourself wandering down the fairway with club in hand and need an accurate distance to the pin, this is your weapon.  I am on my second Leupold in 12 years.  I dropped my first on a cart path and sent it back for repair. Leupold offered me a new one at a super discount rather than repair my older model. That kind of customer service makes gives you confidence to make the initial investment.  They have models that will help you with club selection and take into account elevation changes.
