GO TEAM USA! How To Watch The Solheim Cup This Weekend

The Solheim Cup matches are Friday through Sunday this week in Spain.  Our current stars are captained by Stacy Lewis, with Angela Stanford, Morgan Pressel and Natalie Gulbis assisting her.

Few of us will make it to Spain to watch the actual matches, and viewing on television will be limited since it’s football season, so I thought I’d pass along how you can watch.  All times below are Eastern Daylight Savings Time.  The Golf Channel will showcase all three days of the competition and Peacock will simulstream but you better set your alarm!

  • Friday, September 22: 2am-1pm
  • Saturday, September 23: 2am-1pm
  • Sunday, September 24: 5am-11am

Every player will be wearing clothing by Dunning.  Dunning also happens to be the signature clothing sponsor of my invitational golf tournament here in Las Vegas.  You’ll get a good look at the cut and quality of the Dunning line thanks to the predicted great weather.  Temperatures are forecast to be 60-80 degrees with light winds and little chance of rain.

In my house, we’ll be watching Lilia Vu and Danielle Kang closely.  A decade ago, my husband and his golf buddy from Des Moines, Jeff Courter, had an open spot in their tee time in Palm Springs.  Up walked Lilia Vu and her father, who politely asked if they had any problem playing with a junior female.  They came home beyond impressed with her game.  Here In Vegas, I’ve practiced and worked out alongside the incredibly talented and intensely competitive Danielle Kang.  Right now, oddsmakers slightly favor the European team.

Here’s who’s playing for Team USA:

  • Lilia Vu
  • Nelly Korda
  • Allisen Korpuz
  • Megan Khang
  • Jennifer Kupcho
  • Danielle Kang
  • Andrea Lee
  • Lexi Thompson
  • Rose Zhang
  • Angel Yin
  • Ally Ewing
  • Cheyenne Knight

Go TEAM USA!  Let’s bring home the cup and remember, next year the Solheim Cup matches will be in Gainesville, Virginia at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
